Innovative starters often need facilities and equipment to test and improve their technology concept before it can be taken into development. This preparation is of great importance to the success of the company, especially in life sciences. You don’t want to be unpleasantly surprised when you enter the market, and therefore also investors require a so called ‘Proof of Concept’.
In order to make a prototype of a medical device, to test software applications on large computer systems, therapeutics in animal models, or diagnostics in samples, you need special facilities, equipment and material. These are often too costly for a starter to purchase. Via I amstarter, starters can get access to such available laboratories, technical equipment etc. of companies and institutes in the region for reduced fees. Until recently there was no overview of available facilities and specialised equipment, or any special user-arrangement for starters. But I amstarter can now provide an overview of all relevant facilities and high-tech equipment, together with description of the application possibilities. For instance:
